Cancer & haemato-oncology · Mumbai
Cancer care is a road I walk with you, not a verdict I hand you.
I treat blood cancers and solid tumours in adults and children, with the time each conversation deserves. If you or someone you love has just been told the word “cancer”, you are in the right place to understand what comes next.

What care looks like with me
Five steps, walked together
No one should face a diagnosis without knowing the shape of the road ahead. This is how we move through it.
The first conversation
We sit down without a clock running. You tell me what you’ve been told, what you’re afraid of, and what you need to know. I listen before I advise.
The diagnosis, explained
I translate the reports, the scans and the words into plain language: what they mean, what they don’t, and what we still need to confirm.
A plan that fits the person
Treatment is matched to the diagnosis and to the life you live. I tell you the options honestly, including the trade-offs, and we decide together.
Through treatment
Chemotherapy, transplant or supportive care — I stay reachable through it. Side effects, second-guessing, hard days: bring them to me.
Afterwards
Follow-up, monitoring and the slow return to ordinary life. Care doesn’t end when treatment does.

Where I can help
A worried search usually starts with one word. Find yours below. Each links to a plain-language explanation.
Blood cancers (haemato-oncology)
Cancers that begin in the blood, bone marrow or lymph system (leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma), in both adults and children.
Read moreBone marrow transplant (BMT)
Replacing diseased marrow with healthy stem cells — your own (autologous) or a donor’s (allogeneic). It can be the right answer for some blood cancers and marrow-failure conditions.
Read moreChemotherapy
Medicines that target cancer cells, given in carefully planned cycles. Modern chemotherapy is more precise and better supported than its reputation suggests.
Read moreChildhood blood disorders
Non-cancerous blood conditions in children — anaemias, clotting and bleeding disorders, and bone-marrow failure syndromes such as aplastic anaemia.
Read moreA second opinion
An honest, independent read of your diagnosis and plan — sometimes confirming it, sometimes opening an option you hadn’t been offered.

The lineage I practise in
In the tradition of Dr. Suresh Advani
Much of modern cancer care in India traces back to Dr. Suresh Advani, the pioneering medical oncologist who brought bone-marrow transplantation to the country. Today I practise at his daycare chemotherapy centre at Sushrut Hospital, Chembur, working under and alongside him. It shapes how I treat: rigorous about the science, unhurried about the human being in front of it.
